Many apologies for the long blog hiatus. A combination of computer failure (and subsequent complete computer rebuild) plus the usual mayhem of life conspired to keep this site silent for a few months.
But we're back - and it's Cedar and her siblings' 11 month birthday! How did that come so quickly? In her 11 months so far she's been on long and short road trips, camping & hiking, swimming in mountain & prairie lakes and the ocean, field training, obedience training and visiting with other dogs - including the Blazingstar and Coastalight clans. She's eaten lots of cow/deer/horse poo and visited with Granny for a while on the Coast (seaweed is another of her favourite things to ingest...).
We've had two snow storms so far this year. One in October, when Cedar and I were on the Saanich Peninsula, and one in November, not long after we got home. Each snowfall was around 20-30 cm, but was gone within a week due to chinook winds and warm temperatures.
We made the most of the November snow while it was here - Cedar loved it! Rolling in it, eating it, running in it...nothing was better than snow.

Rooting for parsnips? nope, wasn't me.... |
Cedar is a happy happy girl (if a bit goofy). |
Thundering through the grass, kicking up snow 'dust'. |
Aren't you coming? |
Pathetic with snowball feet. She didn't wear her boots this time - that's another day's adventure... |
Eagerly anticipating more trail breaking adventures! |
Cedar's short-cut: leaping un-gracefully over a beaver-chewed stump. The beavers have done a number on the trees in Popson Park this year, most of the young trees now look like this. :(

On alert in her 'blind' - I think I see another dog! |
Yeah snow, I love it! |
Full steam ahead...always! |
Silly chewing of random vegetation..someone is tired, time to go home. |
